How We Help

Network Support for Offices, Schools, and Multi-Site Organizations

A dropped connection at one site can stall an entire office — or an entire school. We monitor firewalls, WiFi, VPNs, and switches across all of your locations, so outages and slow connections get caught and fixed fast, often before your staff calls it in.

The problem

One weak link can take down a whole site

Multi-site organizations depend on network gear that's easy to forget about until it fails: a firewall that needs a rule update, an access point in a corner of a building that's been overloaded for months, a VPN connection that drops the moment the weather turns bad. Schools with several buildings and city or county offices spread across departments feel this the most, because a problem at one location doesn't always get noticed by the people who could fix it.

Without monitoring across every site, these problems tend to get discovered by whoever happens to notice the WiFi is slow or a video call keeps dropping — usually well after it started, and often at the worst possible time, like the middle of a school day or a public meeting.

How Emerald handles it

What we watch, and how we keep every site connected

Monitoring that watches every site, not just headquarters

We monitor firewalls, switches, and access points at each of your locations continuously, and get alerted the moment a connection drops or starts to degrade — often before anyone on staff notices something's wrong.

Firewall management without a hardware sales pitch

We work with the firewall you already have, keeping its rules and firmware current as part of ongoing management. We only recommend a replacement when your current setup genuinely can't keep up — no forced upgrades.

Reliable WiFi for staff — and the public where it matters

From internal staff networks to guest and public WiFi at school and government sites, we set up and maintain wireless that holds up under real traffic, with guest access kept separate from the systems that matter.

Common questions

Network support questions we hear often

How do you know about a network outage before we call you?

We monitor your firewalls, switches, and access points continuously from outside your network. When a device stops responding or a connection degrades, we get an alert right away — often while it's still a minor issue, before it turns into a full outage that staff notice.

Will you replace our firewall, or work with what we already have?

We work with the firewall you already have. We manage its rules, keep firmware current, and monitor it as part of your network. If it's genuinely reaching the end of its useful life or can't support what you need, we'll say so and explain why — but we don't push replacements just to sell hardware.

Can you set up guest WiFi for a school or government office that's separate from our internal network?

Yes. We set up guest and public WiFi that's isolated from your internal network and staff systems, so visitors, students, or the public can get online without any path into the systems that matter. This is a common setup at the schools and government offices we support.
